How do I dice jalapenos without transferring the heat?
Dicing jalapenos can quickly add a spicy flavor to your meal. Still, it’s essential to be careful as the heat of a jalapeno can easily transfer onto other food items nearby.
To ensure that you don’t suffer from an overly spicy dish, it is recommended that you start by washing and drying the pepper thoroughly before cutting it up.
Once prepped, put on protective gear such as gloves or use a plastic cutting board to reduce the cross-contamination of jalapeno heat.
Then cut off both ends of the pepper, remove the inner core, scoop out all seeds, and discard them.
Lastly, dice the slices into small cubes and enjoy!
