What is a cocktail wiener?
A cocktail wiener is a small sausage commonly served as an hors d’oeuvres or snack food. These miniature sausages are made from various types of meat, including pork, beef, and chicken, and are often seasoned with spices like paprika and garlic.
Cocktail wieners can be served hot or cold and are typically skewered with toothpicks for easy snacking. They originated in Europe in the late 1800s but gained popularity in the United States in the mid-20th century.
Cocktail wieners are a staple at parties and events, and their bite-sized form makes them a perfect addition to any gathering.
