Work on their preschool coloring ideas

Since they’re cutting out the lines to get from one donut to another, why not have them draw their own donuts to color as well?

The great thing about drawing donuts is that they’re unique and colorful!

Adding different colored toppings and sprinkles will make each donut unique.

Have the kids try and cut out the donuts

This is going to be a bit tougher for them since they’ll be cutting in a circle but it can be a lot of fun, too! Let the kids try their best at cutting out the donuts and seeing how they do.

Then, you can use those cut out donuts a few different ways:

  1. Use the doughnuts to practice making patterns. Lay out some of the doughnuts in a pattern and then see if your child can continue the pattern.
  2. Play a game of Doughnut Memory! Mix them up, and lay them out in a grid. Take turns flipping over two at a time to try and find a match.
  3. Use the doughnuts to help with counting. Have your child count out how many of each kind there are and then write the number down.
  4. Have your child sort the doughnuts by color, type, or size.
  5. Use the doughnuts as a starting point for other creative projects. For example, your child could make a doughnut mobile or a doughnut collage.

There are so many fun ways to use this donut printable! Just let your imagination run wild and see what you and your child can come up with.
