If you’re looking for a simple school lunch idea, you’re in luck. Everyone without this in their lunch boxes will be totally jealous of this bento lunch recipe! It’s the perfect simple lunch idea for anyone needing an easy meal!
No matter if you slice your bagel and add slices of tomato first, there’s no wrong way to make your very own BLT bagel. I just like to cook bacon and then add it all and eat! Having a toasted bagel is optional, too! You can literally just add it straight from the bagel bag!

Can you add cream cheese to this BLT bagel?
Absolutely! Just keep in mind that whatever you’re adding you need to remember that you’re going to have to keep it cool. If you can add some ice packs to the bento box, you then don’t have to worry about having cheese or bacon or even mayonnaise on the BLT.
The beauty of this BLT bento box recipe is that it’s really versatile and simple to make! Just make sure that you stick in a paper towel or napkin – as BLTs are often messy and delicious!
Important Tips for this Bento Box Idea:
Don’t forget that you will want to prepare the sandwich so that the bagel doesn’t get soggy. I highly recommend putting the lettuce directly on the bagel on both halves so that the juice from the tomato doesn’t soak into the bread.
No one wants a soggy BLT sandwich! No one! (You can also add some cheese as well to prevent it but then that would make this a BCLT instead!)
