Sharing is caring!

Creating mini corn dog bento lunches is easy and delicious for those in your family who like hot dogs but don’t want them every day of the week. With just a few ingredients, you can make these fun retro treats for school!

For some people, the days of packing a lunchbox with sandwiches and fruit are long gone. Busy Moms can come up with creative ways to pack their children’s lunches so that they’re not only nutritious but also appealing. One way is by using bento boxes or containers to create cute lunch creations!

When I think of camping I think of smores, hot dogs, cornbread, fruit, sweet corn, and lots of other yummy campfire food. With this Bento Lunch, we took those camp food ideas and turned them into a fun lunch.

Make up some of these corn dog bites and then grab fruits, veggies, and smores! Pack it all together in an easy-to-carry bento box so that when the kiddos wake up tomorrow morning to find breakfast prepared for them, all they have to do is grab this yummy lunch option or pack one themselves thanks to your awesome job.

Bento Box Tools Needed:

Boxed Lunch Ingredients:

You can find a printable recipe with instructions and ingredients below, but I like to show the ingredients list with (affiliate) links to help you see what we used for this box.

Making this Camping Lunch is very simple and I used ingredients that I had on hand and would have sent with them to lunch anyway.  I just created a new and fun way to serve them.

We may not have included all ingredients above, like pantry staples. So be sure to reference the entire recipe card below!

Important Tips for this Bento Box Idea:

We just dropped some mini marshmallows in the container with the cookies to simulate Smores. But, if you really want to make some simple smores:

Use two round fudge-striped cookies and a regular-sized marshmallow.

Put one cookie on the bottom with a marshmallow on top and microwave for 10 seconds.

Place your second cookie on top of the marshmallow and squish together.
