Using the air popper is the hardest part and that’s just because you’re going to be impatient waiting for the popcorn to pop!
My boys love to snack and grab a handful of this tasty popcorn recipe as they’re passing by the bowl. Since they love the flavor of caramel apple and apple cider, I knew this was going to be a hit! And I’m all for them eating it since that means that I won’t be eating it all myself! (even though I very well could without a doubt!)
Do you have to use any melted butter in the air popper?
You don’t! This is why it’s a healthier way to pop popcorn. But if you are wanting a butter popcorn flavor, you can always add some at the end once it’s done popping.

More Apple Recipes:
- 6 cups air popped popcorn
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
- 4-5 Tablespoons powdered icing sugar, to taste
- 1 cup apple chips
Start by placing the popped popcorn into a large bowl.
Then you're going to want to melt the butter and pour that over the top of the popcorn.
Make certain that it's cool enough to touch and toss the popcorn to cover completely with butter. Set aside.
In a smaller bowl mix together the sugar and cinnamon.
Take and sprinkle half of the sugar mixture onto the popcorn. Toss it to coat it well and then add the rest of the mixture and toss it again to coat.
You then have the option to lay it out on a cookie sheet to dry.
Once done, add in the apple chips and serve.
