What do apples go well with?
Everything!! Ok, not quite, but it sure seems like it. The recipes in this post are going to help you understand the best spices, fruits, vegetables, and meats to pair with apples, but I am going to share my own personal opinion, too.
Apples have such a sweet and tart flavor that they tend to pair best with nuttier and spicier flavorings like: cinnamon, nutmeg, cheddar cheese, peanut butter, and walnuts.
They also can add amazing flavor to the milder tastes like: pork, chicken, cottage cheese, lettuce, and cabbage. You can use Apple Pie Spice Blend Recipe in many recipes, too!
The simplicity of a gluten-free, grain-free, nut-free, egg-free, dairy-free, and vegan dinner recipe that's healthy and flavorful with the saltiness of sauerkraut and the sweet spice of an applesauce topping!
I buy the 16-ounce bags of chopped kale when it is in season…so it is super simple to just pull out what I need and throw it into a pan with some oil. While it is cooking, I chop up an apple and get out the Newman’s Own.
