The hardest part about this recipe is waiting for the coated cereal to cool! This is because you’re going to be craving this sweet treat from the moment you make it. But don’t worry, it’s totally worth the wait. Just be certain that you mix it well so that it’s all coated evenly.
We’ve been making this fun treat for years and my boys always love it. It’s a fast and simple way to get an amazing taste and flavor without having to do a ton of work. And while I enjoy baking and being in the kitchen, I’m also a fan of creating shortcuts whenever I can, too!

More Cake Mix Recipes:
- 6 cups of Rice Chex
- 12-ounce of white candy melts
- 3/4 cup of powdered sugar
- 1⁄2 cup of boxed White Cake Mix
- 1⁄2 cup of Valentine’s Sprinkles
- large brown paper bag
Put the rice cereal into a large bowl. Set aside.
Put the powdered sugar, cake mix, ad 1/4 cup of the sprinkles into the bag. Set aside.
Using a microwave safe bowl, melt the candy melts per the directions on the package. Once melted, pour it over the Chex cereal and fold gently to mix. Once coated, add 1/4 cup of the sprinkles and then dump into the brown bag. Close the top and shake to coat.
Once coated, pour out onto a lined baking pan. Once dry it's ready to eat!
