This is a great snack or dessert for anyone who loves a bit of crunch. Plus, the peanut butter flavor is a yummy addition to the dish.

As you can see, the Nutterbutter cookies bring that peanut butter flavoring to the top. Sometimes, I’ll even add more than the recipe calls for because that’s how I like it!

In addition to the mini cookies, there is also the addition of the PB2. This delicious powder is a great way to add peanut butter taste and flavor to any dish you want.

My boys are pretty much obsessed with this dish, and I agree. I love how crunchy and sweet it is – and I’m a big fan of the peanut butter taste.

The next time you’re craving a snackworthy dessert, add this to your list. This would be exceptional to serve at birthday parties and baby showers or to have waiting for the kids as an after-school snack.

What states call it puppy chow?

If you’re a resident of the Midwest, you may be familiar with the sweet and crunchy snack known as puppy chow. This popular treat is typically made with Chex cereal, chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar, and it’s often served at parties and potlucks.

However, the name “puppy chow” isn’t universal across the United States.

While it’s commonly known as puppy chow in Midwestern states such as Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan, other regions may call it different names.

In some areas, it’s known as muddy buddies or reindeer chow. Despite its name variations, this snack remains a beloved treat nationwide.

What came first, Muddy Buddies or puppy chow?

Muddy Buddies and puppy chow are iconic snack mixes that have become staples at parties and gatherings. Regarding their origins, there is some debate about which one came first.

Some claim that the original snack mix is the puppy chow, a sweet concoction made of Chex cereal coated in peanut butter, chocolate, and powdered sugar.

Others argue that Muddy Buddies, which have the same ingredients but with the addition of rice cereal and a slightly different preparation method, came first.

While there is no clear answer, what is certain is that both snacks are delicious and beloved by many.
