I mean, in less than 30 mintues of active work, you can have what you could call the most peanuty snickers popcorn snack on the planet. I mean, you could call it that.
So, let’s get your popped popcorn ready and start a new movie night tradition!
How Long Does Snickers Munch Last?
I can’t honestly say that anything stays long on my counter anymore. With so many hungry boys running around, it’s like there’s always someone grabbing a snack in the kitchen–constantly.
But, if you can keep the kids out of it (you know, lock it down in a chest and bury it on a deserted island like a pirate), you can expect your popcorn snack mix to last about 10 days on the counter, in an airtight container.
I wouldn’t put it in the fridge or freezer, because it will make the chocolate have this weird film on it. And I hate that film. But if you’re ok with it, I guess you can because it’s not going to hurt it or change the flavor. It’s your popcorn.

How to Make Snickers Christmas Munch
Making this Snickers popcorn treat is really easy. You can start with microwave popcorn, kettle corn or air pop. Anything. Just your favorite popcorn.
To make that “normal” popcorn into the magnificent candy bar popcorn, just melt your liquid ingredients (butter, sugar, corn syrup and salt) in a small pot over medium heat and stir until it boils–let it do that for 4 minutes. Then remove from heat.
You put your popcorn into a large baking sheet covered in some wax paper and spread the popcorn out, then cover it in your liquid ingredients and stir to coat.
Bake that for an hour and stir every 15 minutes.
Then you just dd the peanuts, chocolate chips, and pretzels, let it bake just a bit more and you’re ready to pull it out to add your chopped Snickers bars.
You wait for all that melted chocolate to harden (maybe 30 minutes or so) and then serve in a large bowl.
If you want the Snickers Christmas Crunch red and green for a little more Christmas flair, you can split the boiled butter mixture into two bowls and dye each.

Snickers Christmas Munch
Ingredients
- 14 Cup(s) Popped Popcorn
- ½ Cup(s) Butter
- ½ Cup(s) Karo Corn Syrup
- 1 Cup(s) Sugar
- ½ Teaspoon Salt
- ½ Teaspoon Vanilla
- 10 Miniature Snickers Cut in Pieces
- ½ Cup(s) Pretzel Sticks
- ¼ Cup(s) Mini Chocolate Chips
- ¼ Cup(s) Peanuts Salted or Unsalted
Instructions
- Pre-heat your oven to 250 Degrees.
Combine the Butter, Karo Corn Syrup, Sugar, and Salt into a sauce pan and cook it on the stove until the ingredients begin to boil (be sure to stir this while it is on the stove). Keep in mind that this mixture will start to boil after the butter and sugar have melted.
After the butter and sugar have melted, let it boil for 4 minutes (do not stir during the 4 minutes).
Remove from heat and add in the vanilla.
Put the popcorn into the large baking pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray so that the popcorn does not stick. Pour the mixture over the top of the popcorn and mix it in with a spatula (I found that if I sprayed my spatula with cooking spray it didn’t stick to the sugar as much). Also, I recommend that you “fold in” the mixture so that the popcorn does not get smashed.
Once it is combined, place the baking pan into the oven!
Bake for 1 hour. *Here is the trick, you must stir the Crackle Corn every 15 minutes while it is baking. I find it easier just to set the timer for every 15 minutes so that I do not forget to stir it!
On the last 15 minute cycle, add the peanuts, chocolate chips, and pretzels.
Once it’s finished baking, add the snickers and mix well.
Pour the Christmas Snickers Munch onto aluminum foil that has been sprayed with cooking spray and cool completely.
Very good recipe to read. Fun and delicious!
