Crazy Good Popcorn Sundae Snack Recipe

This Popcorn Sundae recipe is seriously a great popcorn dessert. And yes – it really does taste like an ice cream sundae! The good part is though that it won’t melt and it’s not messy! Make certain to check out my other Gourmet Popcorn recipes as well!

I like to add in a bit of dark chocolate as well because I’m in love with how it tastes!

We all agree that this is our preferred way to make a sundae at home. It’s not cold, it doesn’t melt, and it’s just so so good!

Popcorn Sundae

Since there aren’t a lot of steps to this recipe, you can be certain that it’s a fast and easy recipe to make. The biggest thing that you need to do is make certain that all the pieces of popcorn are well-coated. After that, it’s a breeze!

My boys love all my sweet popcorn recipes but they do think that this is one of their favorites! I’ve caught them adding on more sprinkles when I wasn’t looking as well but that’s just all part of the fun!

How do you store leftover popcorn?

The candy coating does a great job of getting this recipe fresh but you do need to make certain that you store this in an airtight container to keep it as fresh as possible.

Storing the popcorn in an airtight container is a great way to keep it fresh. I also use a sealable bag as well when I want to send some with the kids to school. This way I can divvy it up evenly between everyone.

Crazy Good Popcorn Sundae Snack Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Additional Time: 1 hour
Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes

This unique popcorn dessert is going to be a family favorite!

Ingredients

  • 5 cups of cooked popcorn
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate almond bark or chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of vanilla almond bark or white candy melts
  • 1/2 cup of strawberry candy melts
  • 2 T of sprinkles
  • 2 T of mini marshmallows

Instructions

Put parchment paper on a cookie sheet.

Pour the cooked popcorn out on an even layer.

Melt the chocolate and candy melts according to directions.

Drizzle on top of the popcorn and add the sprinkles and marshmallows on top.

Let dry for 1 hour and enjoy!
