How do I know when salmon is cooked all the way?

Cooking salmon can be tricky since it can be difficult to tell when it’s cooked all through. However, you can avoid undercooking or overcooking your salmon with a few tips.

The most reliable way to check if your salmon is cooked is by using a meat thermometer. Insert it into the thickest part of the salmon, which should read 145°F.

Another way to check is by poking the flesh with a fork. If it flakes easily and has a slightly translucent center, it’s done.

Lastly, if you’re cooking skin-on salmon, the skin should be crisp and browned, indicating that the flesh is cooked.

With these techniques, you can be confident that your salmon is always cooked perfectly.

How do I reheat leftover salmon?

Reheating leftover salmon can be a tricky task. However, taking the time to reheat it properly can make all the difference. The best method for reheating salmon is in the oven or stove.

Preheat the oven to about 300 degrees Fahrenheit, place the salmon on a baking sheet, and cook for about 12-15 minutes.

If using the stove, heat a skillet with some oil over medium heat, and cook the salmon for 3-4 minutes on each side.

Covering the salmon with a lid or aluminum foil is best to trap the heat and prevent the fish from drying out.

Avoid reheating salmon in the microwave, as it can quickly become overcooked and rubbery.

These tips allow you to enjoy delicious leftover salmon without sacrificing texture and taste.
