Mini Holiday Oreo Cheesecakes Recipe

With a homemade cheesecake filling and a decadent Oreo crust, everyone will want more of this sweet treat. Oreo fans will rejoice in the flavor and taste. They’ll likely even want to make it themselves!

My boys are all about having their own little cheesecake to themselves. I put it on a cute plate and served it up, and they enjoyed eating it without anyone asking them for a bite.

Check out how this recipe looks. Not only does it look festive and fun, but it’s also the perfect flavor for holiday tastes!

Its creamy texture, richness, and tangy taste, crafted with skill, make it a phenomenal treat. However, these characteristics alone do not entirely distinguish cheesecake from other desserts.

Perhaps its commonality can also be attributed to its versatility. Cheesecake can be dressed up with many toppings and variations, whether fresh fruit, chocolate, or caramel. This adaptability makes it a dessert for any occasion, making it a must-have for dinner parties, events, and simple personal indulgences.

The art of crafting a sumptuous yet simple cheesecake is an undertaking that offers a sense of accomplishment with its delicate balance of creamy texture and subtle flavors.

Why do mini cheesecakes crack?

Overbaking is a common cause of the dreaded cracking phenomenon that plagues these delicate desserts. While it may seem counterintuitive, over-baking can cause the cheesecake batter to dry out, which leads to cracks forming on the surface as it cools.

Additionally, overmixing the ingredients can cause too much air to be incorporated, resulting in the cheesecake batter expanding and contracting as it cools.

While cracking may be frustrating, it does not necessarily indicate that the dessert is ruined – a simple and sneaky fix can be to top it with fresh fruit or a dollop of whipped cream to cover up the unsightly imperfections.

Chocolate Cookie Crust Ingredients:

  • 16 chocolate Oreo cookies with the creme removed
  • 3 T sugar

  • ¼ Cup of melted unsalted sweet cream butter

Cheesecake Filling Ingredients:

  • 2 - 8 ounce packages of softened cream cheese

  • 1 Cup sugar

  • ½ Cup sour cream

  • ¾ tsp pure vanilla extract

  • ⅛ tsp kosher salt

  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped peppermint pieces

  • 16 chopped up Holiday Oreos

Chocolate Ganache Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup semi sweet chocolate chips

½ Cup heavy whipping cream

Whipped Cream Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ Cups heavy whipping cream

¼ Powdered Sugar

  • 24 Holiday Oreos

  1. To make the crust, add cupcake liners to a cupcake pan.
  2. Crush the Oreos into small crumbles and add to a bowl.
  3. Mix the melted butter with the sugar, and add the crushed Oreos.
  4. Put 1 T of the crust mixture into the bottom of the liner. Lightly press the crust flat using a clean cup bottom or your hands.
To make the cheesecake, preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
  5. Beat the cream cheese and sugar with a stand mixer until smooth.
  6. Beat in the sour cream, salt, and vanilla.
  7. Add the eggs one at a time and beat.
  8. Fold in the peppermint pieces and chopped Oreos.
Put 1/4 cup of the cheesecake batter into the cupcake liners.
  9. Put the pan in the oven and bake for 17-21 minutes or until the cheesecake edges turn golden. The center should be set as well.
Let the cheesecakes cool completely once they are done baking.
  10. To make the chocolate ganache, add the chocolate chips to a heat-safe bowl.
  11. Bring the whipping cream to a simmer in a small pot and pour over the top of the chocolate chips. Let the mixture set for 1 minute before whisking it smooth.
  12. Let the mixture cool slightly, then add the ganache to a piping bag. Cut the tip off the piping bag and then add dollops of the ganache on top of the cooled cheesecakes.
  13. To make the whipped cream, mix all the ingredients in a bowl using a hand mixer. Stiff peaks should form.
  14. Pipe dollops onto the top of the cheesecakes and then place an Oreo on top.
  15. Serve and enjoy!
