Crockpot Pizza Recipe

I bet you didn’t think pizza could be made in a slow cooker, huh? I’m not surprised. But Crockpot Pizza is so easy to make, it’s definitely worth trying at least once. Then, when you’ve seen just how simple it is and so very tasty, you’ll be making it again and again!

This is one of my favorite slow cooker recipes, although I don’t consider this crock pot pizza recipe with noodles to be one of the most budget friendly. It uses store bought spaghetti sauce and pizza sauce which I really do not prefer over my homemade sauces, but something about this simple Crockpot dish makes it really good.

And, using store bought sauces does save a considerable amount of time, sometimes. So, I guess it’s worth it for a fun fall treat like this easy crock pot pizza!

Crockpot Pizza Recipe

I keep saying that one day I will just can (or freeze) my own tomato sauces for this crock pot pizza recipe and a couple other recipes I have, but it hasn’t happened yet. Until I can or freeze those sauces for easy use, the convenience of the jars wins out. LOL!

The fresh vegetables balances out the sauce in this slow cooker pizza, right? Shhh let’s not talk about the yummy cheese! This is one of those recipes that your family will love so it’s worth it in the long run. Make it with my make ahead ground beef for added speed and convenience!

And, besides the fact that the kids loved this recipe from the first time I made it, the fact that there’s no pizza dough (this recipe uses noodles) means that there’s no chance I can mess it up and get soggy dough! So that’s a win!

How to Make Crock Pot Pizza

In a skillet over medium high heat, cook and drain noodles to al dente. Brown and drain hamburger–if you want to add some Italian sausage, or any of your other favorite pizza toppings, you can add them now, too, if they need to be browned.

Sauté your onion and bell pepper–and toss in any pineapple if that’s going to be one of your toppings because it’s so much better sautéed.

Combine with mushrooms and sauces.

Layer all of your ingredients in the crockpot (in this order):

  • 1/2 noodles
  • 1/2 sauce mix
  • 1/2 cheddar and mozzarella cheeses
  • 1/2 pepperoni

Repeat until you run out of all of your ingredients.

Cook in slow cooker at least 2 hours (on med heat), but not over 4 hours.

Top with a little parmesan cheese and enjoy!

Specialty Ingredients:

The following ingredients are affiliate links on Amazon because they may be a bit hard to find in your normal store.  I wanted you to be able to see exactly which things we are using.

  • 16 oz Spaghetti Sauce
  • Pepperoni

Reminder, not all ingredients in the Crock Pot Pizza Recipe are linked above, just the ones that may be a bit difficult to find or that you might be unsure of what to look for.

Crockpot Pizza Must Have Resources:

With the right tools, chopping the fresh veggies will only take seconds!  The following tools are my personal recommendations to help you get dinner on the table very quickly!

  • Veggie Chopper
  • Pasta Pot
  • Large Oval Crockpot
  • Saute Pan

You can also cook this pizza casserole in a 9×13 dutch oven, at 350°, until cheese bubbles. So, if you’d like to do that with this family favorite recipe, you’ll need one of those.

But don’t try making this in a casserole dish or baking dish–think of it as a deep dish pizza that needs a little extra room. Because it does.
