Just when you thought life couldn’t get any better, along comes this Copycat Sonic Nerds Slushie. Grocery stores don’t carry it so this is why you need to learn how to make a nerds slushie at home. It’s literally one of my favorite slushie recipes, ever.

All you need are a few simple ingredients, including Nerds, and you’ll be well on your way to creating this simple drink from the Sonic Menu.

The bright blue color of this drink is because of the blue Kool-aid and it’s such a fun and neat added effect. One taste of this, and you’re never going to have to go to Sonic for this tasty drink ever again.

Copycat Sonic Nerds Slushie

The best part of making this Sonic slush at home is that it literally takes just a few moments of time. Make certain that you have enough crushed ice on hand to keep it nice and cold and the rest of the recipe is easy!

My boys love this drink recipe so much that it’s pretty much a weekly staple in our house. We’ve changed up the flavors sometimes and no matter what, we always come back to the blue raspberry taste.

Sonic literally has the best ice. Ever. And if you can find that crushed ice, it’s really going to take this slushy over the top.

Copycat Sonic Nerds Slushie

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 tray of ice - crushed
  • 2 cups club soda
  • 1 envelope blue raspberry lemonade Kool-Aid
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • Nerds candies

Instructions

    1. Start by crushing up the ice in a blender. Once done put in the freezer to use shortly.

    2. Next, combine the club soda, Kool-Aid, and sugar to the blender. Blend for 30 seconds.

    3. Once that is done, take and add in crushed ice. Blend for 20 seconds.

    4. Place the top of the blender in the freezer for 20 minutes so it starts to form a slushie.

    5. Once that time has passed, take and pour it in a glass and top with nerds.

    6. ENJOY!!
