This Chili Cheese Pigs in a Blanket recipe will blow your mind! Everyone loves pigs in blankets, right? They’re one of my favorite appetizers that are perfect for the holidays, game day, or weekend snacks!

But imagine that sausage goodness wrapped in the crescent roll dough and smothered in chili cheese. It is truly a taste sensation.

There are many variations o pigs in blankets, but I think these really top the list. They are super easy to make, and the heat from the chili cheese sauce works perfectly with the sausage wrapped with the crescent roll.

They make the perfect snack to enjoy as you dip in the chili goodness, but they can also be changed and varied for different flavors. We love them, and I think you will do too.

Chili Cheese Pigs in a Blanket Recipe

When I say these are easy to make, I am not joking. Preheating the oven is essential to get it up to temperature, and while that is happening, you can prepare the Chili Cheese Pigs in a blanket.

It is as simple as taking a cocktail wiener and wrapping it with a strip o crescent roll dough. The chili cheese dip is also simple, as the crock pot does all the work.

My boys eat a ton, and I know that when they want a tasty snack, this will fill them up and keep them going.

Great for game day to make as part of a spread when guests are over and ready for hunger strikes. My boys love them!

This really is a starting point to help you make some incredible tasty combinations. You can wrap the wiener with cooked bacon and then wrap it with the crescent roll dough.

You could add some cheese before wrapping them up. It really is up to you.

How should I Store the Pigs in a Blanket?

Store them in airtight containers or sealable bags and place them in the refrigerator once they’ve cooled down.

Leftover Pigs in a Blanket should be refrigerated within two hours after they have been cooked and not allowed to sit out longer than one hour.

Additionally, eat them within 2-3 days of refrigeration for optimal safety and quality. If you plan on storing them for more than 3 days, pop them in the freezer; however, keep in mind that freezing does not ensure maintaining their original quality or texture.

This Chili Cheese Pigs in a Blanket recipe is going to blow your mind! Everyone loves pigs in blankets, right? But imagine that sausage goodness wrapped in a crescent roll strip and smothered in chili cheese. It is truly a taste sensation.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of cocktail wieners
  • 1 package of crescent rolls
  • 1 can of chili with beans
  • 1 pound package of Velveeta, cubed

Instructions

    To make pigs in a blanket:
    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and slice it into strips.
    3. Wrap each cocktail wiener with one strip of crescent roll dough.
    4. Place in preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until crescents are golden brown.
    To make chili cheese dip:
    1. Place chili in the bowl of a crock pot.
    2. Top with cubed Velveeta.
    3. Cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

    Place chili cheese dip in a bowl and serve next to pigs in a blanket for dipping.
