Williamsport, PA Activities for Kids:

The state of Pennsylvania has so many hidden gems. Every time we’ve gone, we found something super fun to do. I’m always amazed at the great places to eat and fun stores to go into just by walking around the town.

We tend to do a bit of research before arriving just to have an idea of what to expect. I don’t consider myself a HUGE planner but I do like to know what’s in the area.

Below are some fun ideas that you can do around town. Fit in as many as you can to really enjoy the experience!

1. Tiadaghton State Forest

Enjoy the great outdoors of this state forest. Go camping, ride an ATV, or just put on your hiking boots to explore.

Time spend out in nature as a family is always a good idea.

2. Peter J. McGovern Little League Museum

Do you have baseball fans in your house? Take them to the World of Little League Museum and let them explore!

This is certain to be a homerun visit that everyone will love.

3. Treasure Castle Playland

From arcade games to fun activities for the kids, this playland is a great place to let the kids run off some energy. It’s a great entertainment center and play area for the kids.

You’ll get to put your feet up a bit and they’ll get to have a blast.

      

 

4. Community Arts Center

Make certain to check out all the fun to be had at this Community Arts Center. From live music to fun plays, everyone can enjoy something happening there.

Visiting here is a great way to try and see something new and unique.

5. Zimmerman House

If you have a cartoon fan in the family, a visit to see the Zimmerman House is fun! It’s on the National Register of Historic Places and was the home of the cartoon artist Eugene Zimmerman.

It’s always fun to see where the magic of cartoons happen!

6. Millionaire’s Row Historic District

Take a drive or a stroll down this district area and see over 250+ old buildings and houses.

The architecture and beauty or quite stunning. Have your camera handy!

7. Susquehanna State Park

Time spent at this state park is well worth it. You’ll see all types of terrains and be able to explore the area.

Pack a lunch and make an outdoor day of it!

8. Kaos Fun Zone

At Kaos Fun Zone you’ll find bowling, an arcade, and so much more. This really is an amazing place for families to spend an entire afternoon together.

You don’t even have to leave as they serve yummy food items as well.

9. Peter Herdic Transportation Museum

Take the kids on a stroll through history with this fun transportation museum. It’s amazing to see how things have changed over the years.

This is a fun way for them to see how cars and other means of transportation have differed. Keep your eyes peeled for some toy trains, too!

10. The Stonehouse Wood Fired Pizza & Pasteria

If you’re hungry, head to this pizza restaurant and bring your appetite! There’s nothing like a wood-fired pizza!

With so many delicious choices, you’re going to have to order a couple to be able to have a taste test.

11. Bruster’s Real Ice Cream

What type of trip would it be without some delicious ice cream? Everyone can choose their favorite flavor and enjoy it!

We love to try different types so we always end up sharing bites!

12. Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Who says you can’t have more than one dessert? Go to this tasty dessert place and chow down!
