What are fun Vacation Bible School Activities for kids?

Here are some fun Vacation Bible School (VBS) activities that keep kids engaged, learning, and excited to come back each day:

Themed Craft Stations

Crafts let kids take home a reminder of what they learned.

  • Make “Armor of God” shields or helmets
  • Create stained glass with tissue paper
  • Build a cross necklace with beads
  • Decorate prayer jars or “God’s promises” boxes

Bible Story Theater

Let kids act out Bible stories! Provide simple props and costumes for reenacting Noah’s Ark, Jonah and the Whale, or the Good Samaritan.

Worship and Dance Time

Upbeat worship songs with motions or dancing are VBS favorites. Include kid-friendly praise tracks with actions to follow along—like “Jesus Loves Me” or “Every Move I Make.”
