What is a dump cake?

A dump cake is a type of cake that is quick and easy to make, requiring only a handful of ingredients and minimal effort. The name “dump cake” comes from all the ingredients being “dumped” into one pan and baked together.

Typically, dump cakes consist of a base layer of fruit, which can be fresh or canned, followed by a layer of dry cake mix and butter.

As it bakes, the fruit mixture bubbles up around the cake mix, creating a sweet and cobbler-like dessert that is perfect for any occasion.

One of the best things about dump cake is its versatility – you can use pretty much any fruit you like and even play around with different cake mix flavors to create unique combinations.

Whether you’re looking to whip up a quick dessert for a potluck or simply craving something sweet, dump cake is the perfect choice.
