Orange Creamsicle Cupcakes Recipe

I’ve been using boxed cake mixes to create delicious desserts for a long time. This is an easy way not to keep a ton of baking ingredients in the house and a faster way to prep.

With a faster prep time, that means that you’re that much close to a faster eating time, which is something that everyone can get behind and enjoy!

We have a split house on whether the cupcakes or frosting is better – which is why we probably always make this dessert. The flavor of both together is just that good!

How long does it take for baked cupcakes to cool?

Once the cupcakes are out of the oven and a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center, it’s time to let them cool.

Ideally, give the cupcakes about 10-15 minutes to cool in the pan before transferring them to a cooling rack.

From there, let the cupcakes cool for another 30 minutes or so before frosting them.

Remember that if the cupcakes are still slightly warm, the frosting will melt and become a mess. So, patience is key to achieving perfectly cooled cupcakes.

What type of frosting is best for cupcakes?

Choosing the right frosting is just as important as baking the perfect cupcake. Different types of frosting can be used, each with a unique flavor and texture.

Buttercream frosting is a classic choice that is rich and creamy, while cream cheese frosting is tangy and slightly sweet.

Whipped cream frosting can be a lighter option, adding a light and fluffy topping to the cake.

A sugary glazed frosting can be used for those with a sweet tooth, perfect for those who love a sweet and sticky topping.

Ultimately, the best type of frosting for your cupcakes depends on your taste and the flavor of the cupcake itself. So, experiment with different flavors and textures until you find the perfect combination for your taste buds.
