Once you preheat the oven to 350 degrees, that warm air will be soon ready for your cookie dough! The good thing is that these cake mix Monster cookies are crazy fast to make and will be baking before you know it.

My boys love that I use Betty Crocker cake mix a lot of the time because they tend to like that flavor. You can easily use any type of cake mix that you want or have on hand so have fun and be creative!

How do I know when the cookies are done baking in the oven?

The edges of the cookies should start to turn brown, indicating that they’re done baking and ready to be pulled from the oven.

Yield: 24 cookies
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Additional Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 55 minutes

These cake mix cookies are such a fun holiday dessert!

Ingredients

  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup of vegetable oil
  • 2 drops of green gel food coloring
  • ½ cup of red and green M&Ms
  • ½ cup of white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix the cake mix, oil, and eggs in a bowl. Add the gel food coloring and mix well.
  2. Fold in the chocolate chips and M&Ms.
  3. Cover and put in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and put parchment paper on your baking sheet.
  5. Scoop out a tablespoon size of dough and roll it into a ball. Put it on the baking sheet and slightly flatten and add more M&M's and chocolate chips on top if you want.
  6. Put in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes and then finish cooling on a wire rack.
