It’s always super fun to head out the door for trick-or-treating, but be sure to remind the kids of these safety tips for them to stay safe!
- Stick with your group – Never go out alone. Always walk with family or friends.
- Stay on sidewalks – Don’t cut across lawns or run into the street.
- Look both ways – Check for cars before crossing the road.
- Use crosswalks – Always cross at corners or marked crosswalks.
- Be bright, be seen – Wear something reflective or carry a glow stick/flashlight.
- Don’t run – Walk, so you don’t trip in the dark or spill your candy.
- Don’t eat before checking – Wait until a grown-up looks over your candy.
- Respect houses – Only visit homes with lights on and never enter inside.
- Mind your manners – Always say “thank you” after getting candy!
