The kids are going to love visiting the Deanna Rose Farmstead. It’s beautiful, fun, and all about the kids being able to explore as well.

2. Antioch Park

Once you arrive here in Antioch Park, you’re going to be introduced to a world of beauty. So many fun trees and flowers to see!

4. Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens

This Park has great walkability about it and even some fun surprises for the kids. It’s one of the newer park additions to the area and is already quite popular!

Go here on a sunny day and don’t forget to pack a picnic and enjoy. Slow down and take in the sights of nature.

5. Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park

If you’re looking for family fun, you’re going to find it at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park. Not only is there a disc golf court but there are also basketball courts and sand volleyball courts as well.

This park literally offers a wide range of activities for everyone in the family.

6. Firefly Forest

Firefly Forest is just another cute little train in nature that will have everyone in the family walking, talking, and having a blast.

Pack up your water bottles and hit the open trail to see where it’s going to take you. Being able to see this magical forest is a must.

7. Black Bob Bay

If you’re visiting the area during the summer months, don’t miss out on a trip to Black Bob Bay. The water activities are a blast and they have so many more fun activities to offer.

Load up the swimsuits, towels, and sunscreen and have fun soaking in all the rays! They even have mini golf as well.

8. Stroud’s

You’re going to arrive for the fried chicken and stay for the cinnamon rolls at Stroud’s. The ambiance is perfect for families to relax and enjoy their meals.

9. Museum at Prairiefire

The Museum at Prairiefire has some of the neatest exhibits around. With over 40,000 square feet to explore, you’re going to want to leave a couple of hours to get through all of it.

Take notice of the architecture of the building as well. This is another reason to stop by and take a peek.

10. Johnson County Arts And Heritage Center

The Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center is all about helping and doing what they can in the community. Not only do they educate people about the arts and heritage of the area, but they also do this with children as well.

11. Legler Barn

The Legler Barn is a great piece of old history. Adding in a bit of learning of the local history is a simple way to immerse into the culture.
