It’s the perfect place for beautiful views and a wonderful place for the whole family to enjoy. You can plan a day trip there or decide to book a weekend or weeklong trip to this coastal town. Since it’s such a beautiful place, you’ll have more than a little time for outdoor activities and you just might be lucky to catch some special events.
Small children and older children just might say it’s one of their favorite places to explore for some amazing finds! Keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles, and plan a picnic on one of the grassy areas in the parks. You can’t beat the spectacular views and it’s an excellent place to spend some time on hiking trails or a sandy beach.

1. Merryspring Nature Center
Put on your hiking boots and have fun exploring the Merryspring Nature Center. It has lovely plants and gardens and is a nice way to enjoy the fresh air.

2. Camden Hills State Park
Camden Hills State Park not only has amazing views but it has a campground that you could easily stay at, too.
This could be a fun way to camp outside and enjoy time with nature.

3. The Camden Snow Bowl
The Camden Snow Bowl is known for great prices and incredible views.
Hitting the slopes together as a family sounds like a pretty good time!
4. High Street Historic District
The historic downtown has a small town feel with plenty of cool shops to see and explore.
A day of shopping always sounds like a great time!
5. Megunticook Falls
Pack up a picnic and enjoy the view at Megunticook Falls. This is a calming place that offers everyone the chance to slow down a bit and enjoy.
It’s a popular area as well so the foot traffic can be heavy at times.
6. Camden Amphitheater
The Camden Amphitheater offers an incredible view of the harbor that you really can’t beat. The ocean views are stunning.

7. Bald Mountain Preserve
Perfect for a family hike, Bald Mountain Preserve doesn’t disappoint. There are great hiking areas for families here.

11. Mt. Battie Trailhead
The climb to the top of this trailhead is worth it just to see the view. Pack some comfy shoes and get your hike on.
This can be a rocky terrain to be careful and watch your step.
