There are really quite a few fun activities here that it was hard to narrow it down. It’s no wonder that this is a popular spot for people to visit with their families!

From great food to places full of history, you and the kids can easily spend a weekend there and need to start planning another trip to return.

I know when we visited we were constantly on the go because there were just so many cool places to see and explore. It was one of our favorite family trips!

1. Merryspring Nature Center

Put on your hiking boots and have fun exploring the Merryspring Nature Center. It has lovely plants and gardens and is a nice way to enjoy the fresh air.

A visit here won’t take long but it is a beautiful one.

2. Camden Hills State Park

Camden Hills State Park not only has amazing views but it has a campground that you could easily stay at, too.

This could be a fun way to camp outside and enjoy time with nature.

3. The Camden Snow Bowl

The Camden Snow Bowl is known for great prices and incredible views.

Hitting the slopes together as a family sounds like a pretty good time!

4. High Street Historic District

The historic downtown has a small town feel with plenty of cool shops to see and explore.

A day of shopping always sounds like a great time!

5. Megunticook Falls

Pack up a picnic and enjoy the view at Megunticook Falls. This is a calming place that offers everyone the chance to slow down a bit and enjoy.

It’s a popular area as well so the foot traffic can be heavy at times.

6. Camden Amphitheater

The Camden Amphitheater offers an incredible view of the harbor that you really can’t beat. The ocean views are stunning.

Pack up a few treats and just sit and enjoy the show. What a calming family vacation.

7. Bald Mountain Preserve

Perfect for a family hike, Bald Mountain Preserve doesn’t disappoint. There are great hiking areas for families here.

Pack comfy shoes and some extra water and give your family a workout.

8. Curtis Island Lighthouse

It wouldn’t be a trip to Maine without a stop at the lighthouse! Check out Curtis Island Lighthouse to see what you can see.

Not all lighthouses are the same so keep that in mind when you’re planning out your trip.

9. Harbor Park

Close to the library and the harbor, the views at Harbor Park are stunning. You just might lose count of all the sailboats coming in.

A sunset stop here would be an incredible view.

10. Barrett’s Cove Public Beach

The kids will love playing at the beach and frolicking in the sand. This public beach gives great views and hours of fun to be had.

Shake off as much sand as you can before getting back in your car or you’ll be taking the beach back home with you. And be prepared, the summer months can be crowded.

11. Mt. Battie Trailhead

The climb to the top of this trailhead is worth it just to see the view. Pack some comfy shoes and get your hike on.

This can be a rocky terrain to be careful and watch your step.

12. Andre The Seal Statue
