The fun part about making this simple dessert is that it’s a hit with anyone who eats it. Not only is it fun to look at, but the flavor is so addictive!

That’s where the name comes from, honestly. Because once you eat one piece of it, you won’t stop wanting to eat it all. Amazingly, a batch disappears so quickly, but it happens every time.

My boys eat many sweets and treats during the holidays and always discuss how this is one of their favorites. They love the flavor and look; it really gets them in the holiday mood!

Can I freeze this dessert?

Yes, you can! All you need to do to freeze this simple dessert is make sure that you store it properly. Add the pieces to an airtight container or store them in a sealable bag.

I like to store them in serving sizes so that I can eat a few pieces and still have some ready and waiting.

It’s a good way to prep and make a dessert and have it waiting in the freezer. Having this on hand when the sweet tooth starts talking is great!

How can I make more fun holiday desserts?

One way to do this is to think outside the box regarding ingredients and flavors. For example, incorporating seasonal fruits like pomegranates, persimmons, or cranberries can add flavor and color to traditional desserts like pies, cakes, and cookies.

Playing with textures and presentation can also make a dessert more exciting. For instance, serving ice cream in the shape of snowmen or creating a gingerbread house centerpiece can be a fun way to get everyone excited about dessert.

With a willingness to try new things and an open mind, making more fun holiday desserts is definitely within reach.
