Printable Monsters University Activities
These exciting Printable Monsters University Activities bring all the fun of MU right into your home! As I look for new homeschooling freebies to share, I love finding activity pages that combine learning with popular movies kids already enjoy.
The world of Monsters University offers the perfect backdrop for creative play and skill-building. The movie’s lovable characters and themes of friendship and determination make these activities even more meaningful for young learners.

These free printables are perfect for Monster fans and parents looking for fresh ways to keep their kids engaged!
What is the learning benefit of these Printable Monsters University Activities?
Kids learn best when having fun, and these Monster-themed activity pages hit that sweet spot perfectly. The activities help develop fine motor skills through cutting and precise movements, which is vital for young learners.
The creative aspects of these activities shine through, too! Kids get to exercise their imagination while designing their monster ID cards.
These activity sheets also encourage social interaction and following directions. The pin-the-badge game helps kids practice taking turns, following multi-step instructions, and developing spatial awareness – all while giggling and having a blast with their friends or siblings.
Another is that these activities grow with your kids. Your child may start by scribbling on the ID card, but soon, they’ll plan out every detail of their monster’s appearance. They will write entire backstories about their monsters’ scare techniques the next time!

What it includes:
The first activity is our “Archie on the Loose!” game. Kids love this twist on the classic pin-the-tail party game!
You’ll get a fantastic image featuring Sulley (that big blue and purple sweetheart we all know and love) and four printable MU badges sporting the iconic “M” logo and eye design.
The game comes with easy-to-follow instructions and a detailed reference image of Archie the Scare Pig that helps players figure out exactly where to place their badges. The goal? Cover up that pesky Fear Tech logo on Archie!
Next up is my favorite—the “Design an MU ID” activity! This creative project lets kids become official Monsters University students. They’ll get a professional-looking template with the MU crest (check out that unique number, 1313!).
There’s plenty of space for kids to draw their unique monster and give it a proper name. I love how the sample ID cards show different monster students for inspiration!

Fun ways to use this printable:
These activity pages are super versatile, and I’ve discovered some enjoyable ways to use them beyond basic instructions. Let me share some of my ideas to make these printables even more exciting!
Monster Party Games
The “Archie on the Loose!” game is perfect for birthday parties or playdates. I like setting up different stations where kids can take turns trying to pin their badges. You can create a scoreboard to track points and hand out silly “scare certificates” to all participants.
Play monster music in the background while kids spin around for extra fun. The giggles are guaranteed when everyone’s trying to pin their badges while dizzy!

Monster Design Competition
Turn the ID creation activity into an exciting contest! Kids can work in teams or individually to create the most creative, silly, or scary monster imaginable. I suggest setting up categories like “Most Eyes,” “Funniest Name,” or “Best Color Combination.”
This activity shines when you let kids present their monsters and explain their unique features to the group. You’ll be amazed at how creative they get with their backstories!
Monster University Campus Tour
Here’s a fun way to combine both activities – create a mini MU campus in your home or backyard! Set up different stations with the activities, add some blue and white decorations, and make signs for different “campus buildings.”
Kids can start at the “Admissions Office” to make their IDs, then head to the “Scare Games Arena” for the Archie game. It’s such a blast watching them get into character as monster students!

Quick Tips for Parents
- Stick the Archie poster on cardboard before hanging – it lasts longer
- Use blue painter’s tape instead of pins for younger kids
- Take photos of the monster IDs before they get wrinkled or lost
- Print extra badges – they tend to disappear under furniture!
