Fun ways to use this printable:
While I’m all about using the printable as is, I’m also about creativity and thinking outside the box.
With these activities, your family will feel like they’re still skipping along the yellow brick road. Have fun sparking imaginations and creating magical memories because there’s no place like home!
Play “Melt the Wicked Witch” Game
Replace “Freeze Tag” with this fun twist! One person is the witch, and everyone else has to dodge her while running around.
If she’s about to catch them, they can sprinkle her with imaginary water to “melt” her. Lots of laughter is guaranteed!
Find Your Inner Courage, Heart, or Brain
Set up small challenges for the family—like trivia questions (brain!), a scavenger hunt (courage!), or time to share compliments (heart!).
Assign “medals” and celebrate everyone’s strengths like the Wizard does for Dorothy and her friends.
Plan Your Next Adventure
Have everyone share where they’d like to visit in their imagination. Would you go to the Land of Oz, or create a new magical home like “The Land of Lollipops” or “Bubble Balloon Kingdom”?
Draw pictures or write little stories about what you’d want to see or who might live there.
Thanks for sharing on HammockTracks. I cannot wait to see this movie.
Fun! We are excited to see the movie!
I actually haven’t seen it yet either but we want to. With all the kids, it isn’t cost effective for us to watch at the movie theater, we just have to wait on netflix or ondemand. 🙂
