The classic story of “The Three Little Pigs” has been a childhood favorite for years. I remember hearing this story when I was a child, and it’s still popular with kids today! This is how I knew that it was the perfect themed activity!

Using a placemat at meals is a simple way to reduce the mess at dinnertime. But adding an educational activity to your placemats is a terrific way to keep learning going at all times!
To use this 3 Little Pigs printable, print it out and then laminate it. Give it to your kids at mealtimes, along with a dry-erase marker or a dry-erase crayon, and let them spend their time waiting for dinner hunting for story-related words.
This would also be an excellent activity for a kids’ party! Throw a Three Little Pigs kids’ party and hand out these placemats for wiggly kids waiting to eat! You can even skip the laminating and put crayons on the table, just like you see at restaurants. Throw in a fun prize for the child who completes the word search first!
