One of the most popular “wacky” holidays, International Talk Like a Pirate Day, is annually held on September 19. This holiday, which originated as a fun concept where people imitate pirate talk, has evolved into an event that receives worldwide media attention.

What better way to celebrate this day than with a ton of fun pirate ideas for kids! You’ll find crafts, printables, and more!

You can pick and choose the ones that you want to do, or do them all – the choice is yours! Have fun!

How do I help kids talk like a pirate?

If ye be wonderin’ how to help yer little ones talk like a proper pirate, I’ve got just the tricks to get ’em started on their journey to become swashbucklers.

First things first, ye gotta teach ’em the lingo. Get ’em acquainted with the classic pirate phrases like “shiver me timbers” and “aye, aye, captain!”

Next, show ’em how to say “arrr” like a real pirate. Remember, it’s all in the throat!

Finally, encourage ’em to incorporate their pirate talk into daily activities, like talking to their friends or ordering at a restaurant.

Before ye know it, yer little ones will be talking like true pirates in no time! So hoist the Jolly Roger, and let’s set sail on a grand adventure together!
