While some people like to read, some, like boys, can be reluctant readers. However, the only way to improve any skill (including reading) is to practice it! Phonics can really help us to learn to read all manner of words, except certain ones. Those words are called Sight Words. Those are the words that should be recognized by just looking at them. Dolch said there are 220 words that people should recognize by sight. Over the past 8 weeks and continuing on through the next 13 (plus this one), I will be bringing you a set of 10 words from the Dolch Sight Word list in worksheet form. I hope that you find these Dolch Sight Words Worksheets helpful in teaching your kids to read and recognize the words!
