Be Still My Heart

In my Strawberry Valentine Cupcakes recipe, I told you that I had a little of the cake batter leftover and tried something with it.  Turned out, they were REALLY good.  Too bad I didn’t try harder on the picture, but I didn’t want to spend a bunch of time on photos when I wasn’t sure what they would taste like.  I know now that no matter what I need to take decent pictures. 🙂

Although I made this using a very small amount of batter, you can make a complete cake mix in a bigger pan.

So, I’m making this right now. I made the cake, cooled it and just poured the jello on top…all my jello either soaked in immediately or ran down the sides and is now under the cake….I did something wrong :/

It should soak into the cake. However, to get it to be on top like mine was you need a thin layer of cake 🙂

I am a member of the yahoo foodblogger group that you just joined. Welcome! This is such a fun idea for a cake. I am sure my kids would love it, seeings it has three of their favorite treats all rolled into one.
