Have you ever heard the saying, “you are who you hang out with”? These Proverbs 13:20 Coloring Pages explain why humans feel that way.
I love having a plethora of Proverbs for Students at my fingertips to help me reinforce good values.
Teaching kids is hard! The older children get, the less smart they think their parents are. So, you need to be able to pull words of wisdom from others… the Bible is the best role model for those words!
Take the time to build a strong character in your child while you can and you will see that pay off for years to come!
Proverbs 13:20 teaches children to be mindful of the types of people they choose to spend time with, surround themselves with, make their confidants.
Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.
In other words, when everyone around you is doing bad things, you are more likely to get caught up in that “mob-mentality” with them. Good behavior can be a very hard concept to really teach to our younger children.
Even if you don’t do what they are, you are guilty by association – in the eyes of the law and your peers. Working on character is a great way to help your children choose the right friends and associates.
