Wyoming is in the midwest and is home to Grand Teton National Park, Devils Tower National Monument, Old Faithful, and Jackson Hole ski resort. The food varies widely and includes wild game like elk and buffalo.

This tender beef is popular for special occasions. It’s rich and juicy and served with mashed potatoes. It’s easier to cook at home than you may think and will be your new favorite Christmas dinner. 

Soda Bread 

Irish soda bread is an easy bread that can be made and ready to eat in just one hour. It doesn’t need yeast but uses buttermilk and baking soda to make it rise instead. It’s often studded with raisins, cranberries, or orange zest. 

Chicken Fried Steak

This thinly pounded steak is breaded and fried similar to chicken. It’s served with mashed potatoes and gravy for breakfast. 

Fry Bread 

A famous New Mexico recipe is puffy pita-like bread topped with ground beef, chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sour cream.

Biscuits and Gravy 

 Fresh, homemade biscuits and sausage gravy is a southern comfort breakfast food that leaves you feeling full and satisfied. It’s a recipe that can easily be made right at home.

Tartare 

This unique dish is made with raw chopped steak, egg yolk, spicy mustard, and capers. Since the beef is raw, be sure it’s fresh and high quality directly from the butcher. 

Cowboy Cookies 

These cookies are stuffed with goodies like coconut, oats, chocolate chips, and pecans. They are a soft and famous Wyoming recipe. 

Ice Cream Sandwich 

Vanilla or flavored ice cream is sandwiched between two soft chocolate chip cookies. It’s a large dessert that can often be split between two people. Kids love this one! 

Nachos 

Tortilla chips are topped with shredded cheese, chopped chicken, ground beef, tomatoes, beans, jalapenos, olives, roasted red peppers, garlic, and green onions. This famous Wyoming recipe is best served for lunch or a game-day snack.
