Bible Verses About Homemaking

Here are a few of my favorite verses about homemaking from some of my favorite verses in the Bible.

“The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.” Proverbs 14:1

Remember to build up your house with love and concentrate on what’s inside your four walls.

And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Genesis 2:18

A house is a home when two partners are loving and create a loving environment for a family.

“My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.” Isaiah 32:18

Create a place that is truly a safe haven for your family.

“Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your servant woman, and the alien, may be refreshed.” Exodus 23:12

Don’t forget that while you’re so busy building your home, you must rest and recoup.

“The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” Matthew 7:25

Your house is a place that has a strong foundation of safety and love.

Ecclesiastes 9:10a “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.” Ecclesiastes 9:10

Stay strong and build your home the best way you can.

“Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Communicate with your children the importance of love and family.

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91: 1-2

Treat your home as God intended you to.
