Tuna Cucumber Bites
I make these all the time. The flavor is yummy, light, and refreshing, and the calorie count is so low—not to mention low in carbs!
Many people love this refreshing snack during the summer months. I also make it during winter because you can never pick a bad time to make this dish!
The cucumber provides a nice crunchy base for the tuna topping. It’s a great way to add flavor and crunch to every bite!
How do I pick a ripe cucumber?
Selecting a ripe cucumber is all about a few key indicators. Look for cucumbers that are firm to the touch, with a deep green color and minimal blemishes or yellow spots. They should be uniform in color and shape, without soft spots or wrinkling.
Smaller cucumbers, usually 6 to 8 inches long, are crisper and have fewer seeds, making them ideal for fresh eating. Additionally, ensure the skin is smooth and not too waxy, as this can indicate freshness.
By paying attention to these details, you’ll ensure that you pick the perfect cucumber every time.

How do I store leftover tuna salad?
To store leftover tuna salad safely, transfer it into an airtight container as soon as possible. Place the container in the refrigerator, keeping the temperature at or below 40°F (4°C). This will help prevent bacterial growth and maintain the salad’s freshness.
Consuming the leftover tuna salad within 3-4 days is best to ensure optimal taste and safety.
