Tulip Treasure {Teacher Appreciation}

I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s Sunflower Sentiments Teacher Appreciation Gift, because we’ve got another fun flower-themed gift for you today!  Today’s project is called Tulip Treasures and it’s got a fun pocket in the back to stick a little gift into.  How fun!

Let’s get started!

What You Need:

  • Free Tulip Treasures Printable Template
  • Scrapbook or Patterned Paper
  • Cardstock
  • Glue, Scissors
  • Flat gift to stick in the back

What You Do:

Grab a piece of scrapbook paper or patterned paper.  I had this fun scrap pack stashed away in my craft drawer, so I used that.  I found a fun alphabet theme paper — perfect for a teacher!

Flip your paper over and trace the three petals and one semi-circle onto the back of the patterned paper (this way, you don’ t have to worry about pencil marks!).  Cut them out and then glue the petals onto the semi circle as shown.  Once the glue is dry, you can glue the semi-circle of cardstock over top.  Or if you have zero patience like me (or a very fragile “I’m working while they nap” time), you can slap a little piece of paper over the bottom of the petals to prevent the glue from sticking to the cardstock.  I just used an extra petal from the Sunflower Sentiments.

Once those are in place, you’re pretty much home free!  You can glue a Popsicle stick to the bottom and stick a little gift in the pouch.  Think something flat like flower seeds or one of those instant coffee bags.  You could put in those ice tea singles or even a little note.

Nice job!  Happy First Day of School!!!
