Instructions to Make Spring Butterfly Lunch Idea

Start by creating your butterfly sandwich. Take a hamburger bun and slice it in half. Add mayo, cheese, and meat if you’re using it. Then cut the cheese slice in half and place each piece on the bun to resemble wings. For the body, place carrot sticks or your preferred option down the center.

Next, prepare the butterfly pasta salad. Cook the bow tie pasta according to the package directions, then let it cool slightly. Toss it with green peas and shredded cheese for a simple, kid-friendly mix that pairs perfectly with the sandwich.

Finally, assemble the butterfly grape snack. Place grapes into a small baggie and pinch the center with a clothes pin. Attach a pipe cleaner to the back for antennae and glue on googly eyes to bring your butterfly to life. This step adds a creative touch kids love.

Troubleshooting Spring Butterfly Lunch Idea

If your sandwich doesn’t hold its shape, try using slightly thicker cheese slices for sturdier “wings.” This helps everything stay in place.

If the pasta feels dry, add a small spoonful of mayo or dressing to keep it fresh and flavorful.

For the grape butterfly, make sure the baggie is tightly sealed so everything stays secure during transport.
