These free printables will help the kids learn how to sort color and color matching, too! Such a super cute scavenger hunt for kids!

My kids loved this color sorting activity when they were younger, and I think yours will as well! This is a great activity and game for kids because it gets them up and moving!

What is the learning benefit of this printable?

These fun activities will help with their color identification and also their fine motor skills as well. They’ll get to find a color, and then they can color in various parts of the worksheets as well!

What it includes:

This free printable includes several pages of colors and black and white pages. The kids will then need to find items that are based on the colors and work their way down the page! There is room for them to color in their own colors to look for, too!

Fun ways to use this printable:

Make sure that you think outside the box here on ways that the kids can use this printable! While it’s easy to use them as they are, there are so many other opportunities, too!

Use it inside and outside

There are no rules when it comes to doing a scavenger hunt! Have the kids find the colors inside the house and then move outside to find more colors as well!

This is a great way to keep them active and moving and look for colors all over the place. It’s also great for showing that the world is made up of tons of colors!

Have them draw what they find

You can easily extend the scavenger hunt by picking a few things for the kids to draw. Before starting tell them that they’re going to draw the red item and the yellow item that they find. That way, they know that they need to be prepared to draw what they see so that they don’t forget!

Add to the scavenger hunt

There is always more room and more colors to add to the hunting! If there isn’t a color listed, have the kids create a space on the sheet for that color, color it in, and then go and find it! This is a fun way to help with their critical thinking skills as well!

There are always ways that you can take a fun printable or fun idea and make a go of it! Have a blast!
