Why Buy Space Themed Gifts for Kids that Want to Be Astronauts
Look, you may think that it’s a given that kids want everything. But I believe there’s a reason for that. It’s not that they’re greedy and needy and want want want, although it may seem like that. There’s more to it.
Kids want to experience things. They want to explore. And the only way they know how to do that is through the things they see–so they want to touch, play with and just understand all the things.
And so they ask for those things to be given/gifted/provided to them.
All. The. Things.
When they get these things they’re curious about, they are feeding their development and learning. Learning–always learning.
So, if you have a kid that has expressed an interest in astronomy or the solar system, or even Star Wars, you should feed that bit of curiosity. Because it is a child’s way of trying to figure out where they fit inside the world and where their future might lie.
A little anecdotal story, a kid who was once loosely interested in astronomy, that I know, was allowed to explore his curiosity for the night sky, which then grew into a love of space, which then grew into a future of possible space missions.
Y’all, feeding a child’s interest in the stars with projects and astronomy gifts can LITERALLY lead to rocket science and space shuttle missions. For. Real.
So, take this gift guide for space fans and buy the kid the glow in the dark star stickers for their room. Get the galaxy ice cream. Feed the child’s need to explore the universe. Feed their need to learn more about the worlds beyond our world.
Because it’s what inspires a child to grow, learn what their passion is, and become something great. Or, maybe they’ll just find out that they love learning about space. Whatever.
Gift Ideas for the Space Enthusiast:
I love shopping for my future astrophysicist. It’s fun and cool, but there are as many ideas as there are stars in the night sky. LOL! But, in all seriousness, I know it can be difficult to narrow it down and figure out what a future astronomer might want in a gift.
So, I pulled out all the stop. All of the following Gift Ideas for the Space Enthusiast are affiliate links on Amazon or because they may be a bit hard to find in your normal store. I wanted you to be able to see exactly which things I recommend, because astronaut gifts are hard–seriously. I get it.
If you have a really small kiddo that’s into space, there’s a couple of Melissa & Doug toys you should check out. I love this astronaut space suit and this really rad space ship. So, there’s a little bit of space learning available for even the smallest of astronauts.
But for the bigger kiddos, or adults that love space, well, the below gifts are absolutely out of this world. LOL!
