Delicious Fall Dip Recipes
Fall is dip season. Football is back on, the weather finally cools off, and pumpkin shows up in everything, including the snack table. These fall dip recipes cover both sides of that table, from warm, cheesy dips for game day to creamy pumpkin and apple dips that lean toward dessert.
Some stir together in a few minutes before guests arrive, and a few go in the slow cooker and take care of themselves. For classics you can make any time of year, browse my popular dip recipes too.

The 20 dips below are grouped by type, so you can jump straight to pumpkin and squash hummus, warm cheesy dips, sweet pumpkin and apple dips, bean and veggie dips, or Halloween party dips. Each one links to the full recipe.

Tips for Serving Fall Dips at a Party
Keep warm dips warm. Cheese dips thicken and turn stiff as they cool, so the easiest fix is serving them straight from a small slow cooker set to warm. No slow cooker? Bake the dip in an oven-safe dish and rewarm it in short bursts as the party goes on.

Keep cold dips cold. Cream cheese and sour cream dips should stay chilled. Nest the serving bowl inside a larger bowl of ice, and swap in a fresh bowl from the fridge instead of topping off one that has been sitting out.
Match the dipper to the dip. Heavy, cheesy dips need sturdy tortilla chips, pretzels or toasted bread. Sweet pumpkin and apple dips go better with ginger snaps, graham crackers and apple slices, and hummus works with pita and fresh vegetables.
