This week we will tackle the insides of our kitchen. Since we spent last week getting the visible part all clean and decluttered, we should have plenty of room to remove things from the insides and get them all decluttered and cleaned up.
Be sure to do a small portion at a time so that you don’t get overwhelmed! For example, don’t pull everything out of the upper cabinets, just pull everything out of one! Take it out, wipe down the shelves, and then only put back the things that you actually use! I have some things that I only use at certain times of the year (example Christmas) so those things do not go in my cabinets. They go in a box and into the attic. So, when I need them, I pull down the box! Keeps my cabinets less cluttered!
Ok, quick recap – so far we have:
- Started our homemaker handbook and started a good regime of keeping dishes and laundry from multiplying around the house.
- Cleaned and decluttered our bathrooms
- Learned to rumble a room
- Cleaned the visible parts of the kitchen
This week we will tackle the other parts of the kitchen and if you follow your priority to do list each day, your house will remain in company ready shape!
Simply print the Hidden Kitchen Parts printable to do sheet and add it to your Homemaker Handbook!
Keep up each week and once we have the major parts done, we will get a system for keeping them deep cleaned on a rotating basis. For now, though we need to get them clean!

This homemaker handbook will help me out whenever I transition to being a SAHM. I fear I will jot be very organized or run the household well. Right now I work outside the home, but #2 is on the way!

I drop a comment when I like a article on a site or I have something to contribute to the conversation. Usually it's triggered by the passion communicated in the article I looked at. And on this article Homemaker Handbook Week Four: Cooking in the Kitchen | 3 Boys And A Dog. I was actually excited enough to post a comment ;-) I actually do have a couple of questions for you if you do not mind. Is it just me or do some of these responses look like they are coming from brain dead folks? :-P And, if you are posting on additional places, I'd like to keep up with you. Would you list the complete urls of all your communal sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
