Indoor Money Hunt Ideas

These hunts are perfect for homes, offices, or enclosed spaces. They add a twist to familiar places and can be easily set up with common items found indoors.

  1. Hidden in the Piggy Bank
Place coins or cash inside several piggy banks scattered around the house. Some banks can hold fake money to make the hunt more challenging. Players must rattle, open, or solve clues to find the correct ones.
  2. The Puzzle Code
Hide money inside a box or envelope that can only be opened using a 4- or 6-digit code. Scatter puzzle pieces with parts of the code throughout the area, and hunters must assemble it to unlock their prize.
  3. Money in the Books
Slip bills or coins into different books on a shelf (bonus for creating money bookmarks). Write clues that point to titles, authors, or specific genres to guide hunters.
  4. Laundry Jackpot
Tuck coins, small bills, or clues in various clothing items in a closet or dresser. Encourage hunters to check every pocket, sock, or shoe for their prize.
  5. Kitchen Clue Conundrum
Hide money in places like the cookie jar, spice rack, or utensil drawer. Write “kitchen-themed” clues, like recipes or ingredient lists, to help hunters track down the prize.
  6. Glow-in-the-Dark Cash Hunt
Wrap money in glow-in-the-dark tape or strips and turn off the lights. This works best in a dark indoor room.
  7. Film Buff Hunt
Hide money inside movie-related memorabilia, DVDs, or popcorn buckets. Clues relate to famous lines or trivia from selected films.
