If you’re a fan of nature, you don’t want to miss Prairie Park Nature Center. There are 100-acres here to explore and see the beauty of the world.
You can walk the trails or take a look at some of the animals that you might come across such as beavers, bobcats, deer, and more.

Show the kids a view of the Kansas River at Riverfront Park. This part is just over 940 acres in size!
This area actually used to be a landfill project but has since been cleaned up and renovated to the expansive park that it is now.
3. Spencer Museum of Art
With over 36,000 pieces of art, The Spencer Museum of Art is wonderful to explore. They also have a great gift shop to peruse as well.
This museum is located on the KU campus which is fun in itself to walk around on, too.

Ladybird Diner is a great place for families to eat. Large portions that will feed the family easily and some of the best fruit pies around.
The diner also served free meals during the pandemic to help out the community which is such a generous and amazing offering and way to give back.

At the DeBruce Center is where you’ll find the original rules of basketball. Visiting here is a must for KU basketball fans. It’s located at the University of Kansas.
