Just Another Day in Paris...

For our one year Anniversary, my parents gave me and Ricky a trip to Paris France for 3 days! This was the best (and worst) trip of my life! We arrived in Paris on a Sunday morning and were immediately lost and so was our luggage! After about 10 trips around the airport, we finally found a cab that was willing to take us to our Hotel for only 100 Franc! Score… or so we thought! We hadn’t quite figured out the conversion rate yet – for those that want to know, we were well over 100 dollars for that trip! It took over an hour to get to our Hotel and we were EXHAUSTED! So, we went to our room with it’s separate twin beds that were bolted to the floor and within 20 minutes, the stress must have gotten to me because Aunt Flo decided it was a good time to visit. Seriously!? Oh well, that tiny, bolted to the floor, twin bed was calling my name anyway! LOL!

We slept until 10 pm and guess what we were well rested and nothing was open. LOL! So, we had to try to go back to sleep and wait for a decent hour.

By our last full day in Paris, we still had no luggage, never found the Louvre (even longer story), never found the METRO (yeah, can you tell we are directions illiterate??), had walked off every side of our map, and were pretty much broke since the Cab driver saw our “idiot” signs from a mile away AND we had to buy clothes!

We enjoyed it, stress, single beds, no clothes and all – but it would have been so much nicer had we had some luggage and a little help from an English speaking concierge. With Protect Your Bubble Traveler’s Insurance, all those details would have been handled!
