It is Always Great Day To Be A Dog #ILoveMyK9
Seriously, my husband says all the time that our own Little Orphan Annie has the greatest life ever! She does, she really does! She is so spoiled and loved and played with. However, I wouldn’t want to have a Dog’s Life. Would you? Their food smells horrible and they have to rely on the kindness of others to get everything. Well, a domesticated dog, anyway. If it weren’t for all the great people out there, dogs wouldn’t stand a fighting chance. That is why I like to donate to the local animal shelter! That is why I call Animal Control when there is a loose dog that looks homeless. They deserve to be taken care of!
Our Rottweiler was extremely malnourished and had intestinal blockage among other things. She never reached her full height, but lived 10 years longer than the 24 hours the Vet gave her! We rescued her from someone that paid high dollar for her then got tired of bottle feeding her so began giving her dry rice and water then went out of town and left her to die! Annie’s very pregnant Mom was left in a trailer during hurricane Katrina. While searching the overturned and flooded Trailer for humans, my Father-in-Law and some buddies found Annie, her Siblings, and their Mommy! We took Annie in and have loved her ever since.
Anyway, enough about that. LOL! I am here to show you the great basket I recently donated to the local Animal Shelter and to take you through my Shopping trip with Zack as we looked for Milo’s Homestyle Kitchen, Pup-Peroni, and Milk Bone goodies to put in there.
We started our day by making a list of things we wanted to look at and digging out doggie coupons. We also hit a few stores during our Day including Two Walmart stores, a Target, Dollar Tree, and Dollar General but I was having so much fun with Zack that I forgot to take pictures the whole time. You can see my entire trip below, just click the picture to go to my Google+ album!
Now for the basket. This thing is loaded with treats for the dogs! Milk Bone Trail Mix, Pup-Peroni Mix Stix, and Milo’s Kitchen Homestyle Treats, We also have some Healthy Favorites and Essentials in here. Annie likes all kinds of Doggie Treats. So, I figure shelter dogs do too!

Hello kelli, thank you for the wonderful writing. I have 2 dogs. They are my best friends forever. I believe dogs are the best companions for human.
Hi, Kelli. What’s up? Actually, you know dogs are the best friend of man. So, “it’s always a great day to be a dog” is true. When I go to sleep, Tom wants to sleep with us. That is very funny too. Anyways, this article made me happy.
This made me LOL!
My dog acts like his life is SO hard. He literally sits around all day, except for when we take him on walks. If I walk by him and need him to move, he sighs this heavy sigh, as if it’s so hard to do. He’s my big ol’ grump. Lol. He’ll be 4 in August.
I love the idea of making a basket to donate to the animal shelter! That is too cool. Thanks for sharing!
Congratulations Kelli !!! Your blog is #2 on the The Top 25 Dog Bloggers of 2012 List !!! Yayyyy!
