North Dakota is located in the upper Midwest of the United States. It is bordered by Canada, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Montana.

Additionally, the capital is Bismarck, and it is known as The Peace Garden State. Notably, it became the 39th state added to the U.S. in 1889.

Fact One: Most sunflowers in the United States 

Sunflowers bloom in North Dakota from July through October every year and cover 535,000 acres of land.

Grand Forks’ Potato Bowl ranks as one of the state’s most popular events. On September 10, 2015, it served 5,220 pounds of French fries, setting a new world record. Consequently, this achievement drew significant attention and added to the event’s fame.

Soybeans are a major product of North Dakota totaling 5 million acres for over 170 million bushels in 2019.
