Fall Dramatic Play Ideas for Children

Sharing is caring!

I might be old now, but I haven’t always been. LOL!  When I was in Kindergarten, I remember dramatic play stations.  When my boys came through Kindergarten, the schools had done away with them.

Now, kids are expected to read, write, and do arithmetic in PreK!  We learned how to do those things in our fun little stations, not with workbooks and whiteboards.  This is one of the reasons I have chosen to homeschool through Elementary!

Here are several Fall dramatic play ideas for you to incorporate into your early elementary homeschooling plans this Autumn!

Fall Dramatic Play Ideas for Children

Apple Activities – Your children can go to a pretend Apple Orchard and even make a pretend apple pie!  Go a step farther and let them help you make a real apple pie!

Camping Time – Is there anything better than going camping in the crisp fall weather?  Sure!  Avoiding the insects with pretend camping!

Doctor’s Office – October is Breast Cancer Awareness, Lupus Awareness, and National Diabetes month!  What better way to discuss health issues than with a doctor’s office play theme?

Hot Chocolate Stand – The weather is cooling off! Celebrate with this fun little hot chocolate pretend play stand.  You could even take a little time to make some real hot chocolate!

Pizza Shop – October is National Pizza Month so this couldn’t be a better time to get your pizza shop set up for the kids to play and learn 🙂

Pumpkin Patch – After a field trip to the local pumpkin patch, allow your children to recreate their day over and over with this fun Pumpkin Patch Dramatic play kit!
