Year of the Tiger Activities for Kids

With 2021 coming to an end, it’s time to start planning out your Year of the Tiger Activities for Kids. Since 2022 is the year of the tiger, this is a good year to learn more about Chinese zodiac animals! If you’re interested in Chinese culture and Chinese astrology, welcome to the year of the tiger 2022!

If you don’t know your Chinese zodiac sign, now is the time to find it out! You need to know if you’re a snake, horse goat, monkey, rat, ox, tiger, rabbit or one of the others and figure out your animal sign! (There are actually 12 animals that are in the zodiac. They were chosen by the Jade Emperor as he thought that they’d offer him protection.)

The Year of the Tiger actually runs from February 1, 2022, to January 21st, 2023. The year of the tiger ranks third in the 12 years cycle and means that people born in any of the years listed below are a tiger according to their zodiac.

If you were born in any of the following years, you’re brave, confident, but also unpredictable. The birth years of the tiger are:

  • 1914
  • 1926
  • 1938
  • 1950
  • 1962
  • 1974
  • 1986
  • 1998
  • 2010
  • 2022
