Monsters University Printable K Handwriting

What a great way to keep the learning going in the summer!  We’ve been doing a few monster crafts around here as well.  I thought I’d share one with you as well as highlight some other great monster ideas!

Tube Monsters

Inspired by this picture over at Red Ted Art (great blog!), we decided to make some tube monsters to go along with the Monster University Craze!

What You Need:

  • Toilet Paper Tubes or Paper Towel Tubes
  • Paint
  • Eyes
  • Other monster accessories

What You Do:

To begin, I had the kids paint the toilet paper tube rolls.

Then I laid out the accessories and let them at it!

We used some feathers, google eyes, mini pom-poms, ribbon and some star beads.  Of course, you can use whatever you have lying around.  Pipe cleaners are fun too!

I found some glitter glue and add that to the paint, so most of the accessories stuck just fine, but I did use a little spray adhesive (adults only) to get the star beads to stay put.

Finished!!
