How do I help my child with their spelling skills?

Interactive spelling games are a great way to help younger children and young readers learn how to spell. While students of all ages can learn from any of the great spelling game options listed below, these tricky words are geared more toward young children.

A fun spelling game or pre-made spelling lists can be some of the best options for younger kids to get excited about learning letters the right way. Make sure to pay attention to the difficulty level as you don’t want to have them working on a simple game, and it being too hard for them.

A great game is key for helping with vocabulary words, but don’t forget that you can also give positive reinforcement by building your own lists and working on home spelling words that way. Combining a traditional game with blank cards to help with words and working on vowel sounds just might be perfect for making a great speller!

The collection of spelling games below can help to show you that there is a perfect game out there! These educational resources are not only a fun way to help with grade level spelling, but they’re also a way to help you create your own spelling lists, too.

Use these free spelling words to teach your child the correct spellings and to show that word games can be a lot of fun! Here are some of my favorite spelling games for kids!
